Over the next few weeks, I’m going to put together a few posts that look into the crystal ball and make some predictions (i.e. wild guesses) about some trends and developments we may see in affect online marketing in 2011. Today I wanted to kick things off with a pretty safe bet – the continued rise of tablet devices.
The New Year has kicked off and that means that Affiliate Summit West is right around the corner. ASW is arguably the biggest event of the year for affiliate marketing, bringing everyone from Super Affiliates to complete newbies together for three days of exhibits, conference sessions, and networking events (also known as parties). The show can be a real whirlwind and it’s easy to get caught up in the craziness and not get everything accomplished that you initially planned. So, whether you are an Affiliate Summit vet or a first-timer, here are a few quick tips for making the most out of your trip to Affiliate Summit West next week.
It’s that time again, when we all look forward to the New Year and make resolutions about what we want to accomplish, change, or improve during the coming year. While you may already be planning a few personal resolutions to lose a few pounds, spend more time with family, attend a baseball game in every major league ballpark, jump out of an airplane, learn to play the pan flute, or whatever else piques your interest – don’t forget to come up with a resolution or two for your business.

As a marketer, you always want to stay on top of trends that can affect your business. Some trends are more general (the growth of social media, seasonality, etc.) while others are smaller and more immediate, like keyword search trends. Today, I wanted to focus on search trends and where you can get easy access to this information. Down the road, I’ll try to get into more detail on how to use search terms in your marketing programs.
