affiliate.com has a new team of affiliate managers that we would like to introduce you to.
Alex Patterson is a Colorado native that enjoys his new role as he explains in this brief interview below.
What is your favorite part of Affiliate Marketing?
My favorite part of affiliate marketing is the connections that we as AM’s make with our affiliates. Learning about people and their lives makes this job so much more rewarding. This job is more than just about meeting affiliates and pushing offers on them. A good AM makes friends and then helps them find the right offers for their needs. That’s what I strive for everyday.
What do you think it takes to be a successful in Affiliate Marketing?
To be successful at affiliate marketing takes many skills. Building relationships, listening and just being a real person are the main attributes that good affiliate managers have. Combining these skills with industry knowledge to find the right offers to match with affiliates will make anyone successful with affiliate marketing. All of these skills, along with straight up passion and desire, will make me or anyone successful at affiliate marketing
Favorite sports teams?
My favorite sports teams are basically the Denver sports teams. I was born and raised in the Denver area, so obviously the Broncos are right at the top of the Mt Rushmore of sports teams, along with the Rockies, Nuggets and Avalanche. I’m also a huge CU fan and I’ve been going to Folsom Field since I was 8. Let’s grab a beer and talk sports, but only if you have a couple of days
How do you spend your down time?
I spend my down time like just about any other Colorado person: indoors as much as possible. Just kidding, only a little bit. I’m starting to get back into hiking after being out of that game for a couple of years, but I really enjoy playing sports. I play on rec league softball and basketball teams. I’m passionate about music as well, going to concerts and starting to get into making it as well. EDM, hip hop and alternative rock are my jams, and I host my radio show for one hour on Wednesday nights. And last, but certainly not least, I’m a Game of Thrones nerd. I love the show and I’m reading the books right now as well. It’s the best.
If you had one super power what would it be?
If I had one super power, it would be to teleport. Think of all the time and money savings. No driving, no waiting in lines, instant gratification… and I could get into any sporting event, concert, club, or comedy show anywhere. That would be an amazing super power. A man can dream…
