This week, the affiliate.com video crew has been hard at work setting up our new in-house video studio and training to use all the equipment and software. From making sure the lens cap is taken off the camera to figuring out how to get a picture of Godzilla to show up in the green screen portion of the video, they are dedicated to becoming experts in the use of this new fad called video.
“I’m still trying to figure out how to fit the VHS tape into the camera, but I’m sure that is covered in the user’s manual somewhere,” said Marketing Associate and burgeoning video auteur Jaclyn Charles.
The team has also been brainstorming to come up with a number of shows that our affiliates and advertisers – as well as every other internet user in the world – will appreciate. Among the ideas that have been discussed…
Cup-O-Joe – a weekly talk show featuring Advertising Account Exec and Team Chaos veteran Joe Lochi, sharing a cup of coffee and discussing some of the pressing political, technological, and cultural issues of the day with various celebrities and internet luminaries.
The Pit – a live webcam show featuring our Affiliate Manager department to let you keep tabs on your AM at all times during the day. How many Red Bulls does Jon Ringhofer drink each day? What is Shane Graper’s favorite snack from the lunch room? Which hat will Josh Krogh wear today? You’ll get the answers to these and many more questions you never really wanted to ask about your affiliate.com AM!
All My Ringtones – DJ Jazzy Jaz Pester will play her favorite ringtones, let you know about the newest ones coming out and keep you up to date on great reissues of classic ringtones.
In all seriousness, we are excited about our new studio and can’t wait to make more use of video to communicate with all of our affiliates. We have already put out a few small video projects in the past, but the studio and improved equipment should really help us develop some great programs in the weeks and months ahead.
